I am very proud to introduce you to our school where I have been teaching for more than forty years and have been upholding the position of Principal since 1996.  Our mission is to teach the Chinese language, both written and spoken, and promote Chinese culture and heritage.  The diligence of our teaching staff since 1909 has made it possible for our school to successfully provide Chinese education to overseas Chinese children in New York.   

            Besides teaching students the traditions that have been passed down from four thousand years ago, we also teach them to be aware of current events. Our school is very dedicated to helping others and organizes many events to serve our community. After the attack on the World Trade Center, our school organized a successful fundraiser to raise money to help the victims and their families.  Our goal is to teach the students to become more involved in the community in which they live.

            Within the school we promote school spirit as well. Some of the contests that we hold at our school include: Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Poem Recitation, Composition, Speech, Chinese Chess, Word Recognition, Singing and many more.
